The Atjeh 1873–1876 gesp (Atjeh 1873–1876 clasp) was the bar or clasp worn on the ribbon of the Eerekruis voor belangrijke krijgsverrichtingen (the so-called Expeditiekruis) to denote service in the Atjeh expeditions of 18731876. The clasp was the principal Atjeh clasp, covering the period of the Eerste Atjeh-expeditie of April 1873, the Tweede Atjeh-expeditie of December 1873January 1874, and the prolonged mopping-up operations of 18741876. Generaal Snijders was granted the right to wear the clasp by grant of 17 March 17 March 1877 in respect of his Atjeh service of 18741875.
