Long-Lemoh was a Dutch military post on the communication line through the XXII Moekims of Groot-Atjeh. The post was evacuated on 13 January 1885 as part of the concentration strategy.
Location
Long-Lemoh was situated on the communication line extending eastward from Lambaroe, between Tjot-Basetoel and Glé-Kamping.
Pre-Concentration Status
Long-Lemoh was one of the posts established during the expeditions of General van der Heyden in 1878–1879. Like other posts on the line, it was isolated and vulnerable once offensive operations ceased.
Evacuation
Long-Lemoh was evacuated on 13 January 1885 along with the other posts on the communication line.
Significance
The evacuation of Long-Lemoh was part of the systematic withdrawal from the extended communication line that characterized the concentration strategy.
