Seulawaih Agam — the Goudberg or Gold Mountain — is the greater of the two mountains called Seulawaih (the man and the woman), which rise in the middle of the valley of Groot-Atjeh. The smaller is the Seulawaih Inong — the woman. Seulawaih Agam means the man. The mountain is visible from the landschap Ndjong in the afdeeling Pidië, where it rises behind the landschap in a light mist. In everything of Nature the Atjehnese sees or imagines the presence and the distinction of the horse; Seulawaih itself means belangrijk paard — important horse — though Broersma does not gloss the name.
