End of the auto-road on Westkust, 80 km south of Bakongan. From here one takes a motorboat (6 hours upstream) or prauw (not much longer downstream) to Nieuw Singkel. Connection to Tapanoeli via Sidikalangis ‘under consideration’ with trace set out but not officially in execution.Simpang Kiri in the onderafdeeling Singkel; the onderafdelingshoofdplaats reachable only by motorboat.
Significance
Roendeng is recorded by Jongejan as part of the geography and historical landscape of Aceh.
