Kroeng Rajal was a coastal area on the North Coast of Atjeh whose population, together with that of Ladoeng, was known from of old for its unbridled robber spirit and was punished by Dutch troops on 19 June 1879, without any loss on the Dutch side (see Punishment of Ladoeng and Kroeng Rajal (19 June 1879)).
