Hardenbrock plantation was a sugar plantation located near the entrance of the Wikkie creek in the interior of Acheh. During the Dutch expedition, rebel forces under Atta (bendehoofd) moved into the surrounding forest, using the area as a hideout.

Strategic Role

Its proximity to the creek made it a natural waypoint for both Dutch riverine forces and rebel movements.
