Glé Broet was/is a mountainous terrain feature and strategic outpost located along the southern mountain fringe of Groot-Atjeh.
Historical Context and Role
Glé Broet formed a defensive link alongside Cot Mentjang for the 3rd Division of the Korps Maréchaussée, blocking insurgent infiltration routes from the west coast.
