Dalem (the Sultan’s palace) is a location in or related to Aceh described in Jongejan’s Land en Volk van Atjeh Vroeger en Nu. Sultan’s palace (in Kota Radja).

Description

Sultan’s palace (in Kota Radja). Its inneming (capture) sent the Sultan fleeing; he soon died. After fall of Dalem a new Sultan had to be proclaimed - the youth Toeankoe Moehamad Dawot.

Significance

Dalem (the Sultan’s palace) is recorded by Jongejan as part of the geography and historical landscape of Aceh.
