Aloe Baru (also Alue Baru) is a copper-ore locality in the Residency of Atjeh recorded in Van Bemmelen’s *Geology of Indonesia* (1949) in the key to Fig. 33 (the map of copper occurrences in the East Indies), based on the 1922 survey of Jansen, Lindberg and Wolvekamp. The locality is listed under the Residency of Atjeh, but the printed source gives no further particulars — no locality description, no assay, and no reserve estimate — and it is accordingly recorded only as a point on the map of Atjeh copper occurrences.

Significance
Aloe Baru is significant for the encyclopedia of Acheh history because it is one of the six canonical Atjeh copper localities of the colonial geological literature, and its inclusion in Van Bemmelen’s Fig. 33 key — despite the absence of detailed geological description — establishes it as part of the documented colonial-era copper record of Atjeh.
