Thomas Nussy was a Moluccan (Ambon) private and NCO in the Korps Maréchaussée.
Military Career and Service in Aceh
Nussy was one of the most famous non-European soldiers in the KNIL. In 1911, he was awarded the Knight 3rd Class Military William Order (M.W.O.), becoming one of only eleven members in the entire forty-year history of the Marechaussee corps to receive this prestigious award.
