Teungkoe Tapa’ was een geestdrijver uit het Gajòland who threw the east coast into commotion in 1898 and was dealt with by van Heutsz in a few days.
Before turning on Tangsé, van Heutsz “they first settled an account with Teungkoe Tapa’ … which was accomplished, to the Teungkoe’s detriment, within a few days. And so conclusively that this religious leader could reach the safer West Coast only with great difficulty and with a mere handful of followers.”
