Teungkoe Abdoel Hamid Orangkaja Sri Maharadja Mangkoe Boemi was mbaharadja of the small landscape Lho Seumawe, a once prominent prince bearing title mbaharadja indicating former prestige at sultan and whole Atjeh.
Encounter with Dutch
About 50 years before 1923, when representative of Netherlands government wished to meet him and came ashore from ship in bay, mbaharadja, leaned against tree, proudly awaited him. He and many heads stood with loaded revolvers in girdles, signs of subordination far. He appeared as “rude savage” said eyewitness J. A. Kruyt: large heavy long loose hair dressed in black jacket with gold sovereigns as buttons.
Colonial period income
In 1904 signed Korte Verklaring. Landscape may be small, influence however whole gewest as great as title. At income from landscape and compensation from government monthly 1000 gulden, plus incomes own property and trade.
