Teuku Tjik Lamnga was an Acehnese war leader from the XXVI Mukim and son-in-law of Teuku Nanta.

Role in the campaign

Jan van Swieten described him as an outsider whose influence contributed to Teuku Nanta’s ambivalent attitude toward Dutch approaches. The characterization belongs to Van Swieten’s political case that a less aggressive occupation might have separated local communities from the war party.

Significance

The source places Teuku Tjik Lamnga within the contested military and political history of the Aceh War.
