Raja Abdullah of Aceh (historically written Radja Doelah) was an Acehnese nobleman, eldest son, and designated heir of Sagie Chief Panglima Polem of the XXII Moekims during the Aceh War.
Role in the Second Expedition
Fighting alongside his father in defense of the Aceh Sultanate, Raja Abdullah of Aceh led warriors from the XXII Moekims against General J. van Swieten during the Second Aceh Expedition in 1873 and 1874.
In early February 1874, rumors circulated in Dutch camps that both Panglima Polem and Raja Abdullah of Aceh had died of cholera or combat wounds, reports cited in contemporary analyses of the General van Swieten War Telegrams.
