Mohamed Djohan Alamsjah, titled Teukoe Tjhi Peusangan, was oeléëbalang of large landscape Peusangan with more than 32,000 souls, in underafdeeling Bireuen of afdeeling Noordkust van Atjeh.

Living at Matang Gloempang Doea in nice but not Atjeh house amid well-planted garden at road and tram, found support among brothers who like him received good education and all speak Dutch. Brother Teukoe Boestaman received training at cultuurschool Soekaboemi and now holds office of agriculturalist in landscape. Another brother Mohamad Ali Alamsjah is oelèëbalang tjoet of Djeumpa.
According to Broersma, head with much authority and good insight in interests of his land, giving all zeal. In population of Peusangan somewhat more agricultural feeling than most other landscapes. About third of ground irrigable i.e., from swamp, some wadoeks.
He attempted irrigation from Peusangan which at Panté Lhong flows in two arms to sea, damming one arm by B.O.W. After damming embankment, no water more in main line and all water runs other arm. Work cost 3 tons and fruitless. Would require new work maybe dam over whole width river, expensive due high daily wage 60 cent versus Atjeher buying off heerendienst for only 3 gulden whole year.
