Maajoor De Brauw was a Dutch major who commanded troops in the Wikkie‑gebied and later led the expedition against Accabré’s bende. He received orders on 21 March to mobilise forces, including artillery and mortars, for a coordinated assault on rebel positions.
Operations
De Brauw’s forces were to be equipped with 36 cartridges per man, mortars, and hangmatten for night rest, reflecting the logistical planning of the campaign.
