Luitenant Zon was a Dutch officer of the Netherlands East Indies Army serving in the outposts of Groot-Atjeh during the alliance period of 18931896, recorded by G. B. Hooijer in De verlaten posten in Groot-Atjeh.

Service in the buitenposten (outer posts)

He was among the officers photographed on the bench at Biloel, within the white wall of the old Messigit around which the fortification had been raised. G. B. Hooijer noted of him only, in a parenthesis, that he later sneuvelde — later fell in action.
