Köhler (killed 1873 (implied)) was a Dutch colonial general, commanded first Aceh expedition mentioned in Jongejan’s Land en Volk van Atjeh Vroeger en Nu in connection with Aceh. Stood under a tree (later the ‘Kölee boom’ / Köhler boom) in front of the meusigit at Koeta Radja when he was mortally struck.

Stood under a tree (later the ‘Kölee boom’ / Köhler boom) in front of the meusigit at Koeta Radja when he was mortally struck. The tree itself was lost but pieces preserved in the Legermuseum.
Significance
Köhler appears in Jongejan’s account as one of the figures shaping the history of Aceh during the period covered by the book.
