In April Swart visited the division, inspected various gampongs and held a great meeting with the blah-heads. The Kaniess column returned to its garrison, its task fulfilled; the monthly report closed with “Rödjö Pasér surrendered an M.95 carbine, Reröbö an M.95 carbine and an M.95 rifle, Tgk. Moedö Rema a breech-loader and Konèng a Beaumont” — “without rifles, no bands!”
