Kapitein Engelbert van Bevervoorde was a Dutch officer of the Netherlands East Indies Army serving in the outposts of Groot-Atjeh during the alliance period of 18931896, recorded by G. B. Hooijer in De verlaten posten in Groot-Atjeh.

He was identified by G. B. Hooijer among the officers photographed at Biloel, the post erected around the old Messigit at the foot of the steep southern mountains of the Atjeh valley.
