Ir. H. Meijer was a Dutch plantation official of the Société Financière des Caoutchoucs who, during the opening ceremony of a new railway connection at Besitang, expressed his regret that his colleagues B. de Jong and C. A. Zandbergen could not be present, as they had been seriously wounded on 22 May 1950 by an Atjehse amokmaker at T. Pura.
