C.J. Marinkelle was a 1st Class Naval Lieutenant who served as an adjutant to General J.H.R. Köhler during the First Aceh Expedition.
Service
On 10 April 1873, during the First Conquest of the Great Missigit, Marinkelle delivered the critical report to General Köhler that the Atjeh’s Groote Missigit could no longer be held, prompting Köhler to order the immediate Retreat from the Missigit.
