Description

Operates the only large vezel-onderneming (fiber estate) in Aceh, located in onderafdeeling Lho’ Soekon. 1620 H.A. planted with sisal. Has a modern factory and décauville-spoor with mechanical traction. Directed by the Nederlandsche Handel Maatschappij. Originated from a successful trial planting in the Alaslanden that was abandoned due to transport difficulties. 1937 fiber export: 4,050,000 K.G.
