Atjehclub was the club at Koeta Radja in whose reading room hung the portraits of all the Atjeh generals.
I. Feenstra, writing at H. N. A. Swart’s departure in September 1918, “stood there as we all did, in the reading room of the Atjeh Club, beneath the portraits of all the Atjeh generals,” and reflected: “These oldest generals of Atjeh may well look grim; as guardians of Netherlands sovereignty on a strip of sand between the sea and the unknown interior.”
