11th Infantry Battalion was a combat infantry battalion of the Royal Netherlands East Indies Army that served in the Aceh theater during the occupation of Kraton of Aceh and throughout General Pel’s Campaign in Aceh in 1875 and 1876.

Order of Battle in 1875

In December 1875, the battalion mustered 18 European officers, 212 European soldiers, and 363 indigenous soldiers, totaling 593 men assigned to the Left Division in Aceh.

Role in Coastal Defense

The battalion manned defensive redoubts between Meuraxa and Kotta Alam, repelling Acehnese skirmishers and securing the Aceh River communication line under General J. L. J. H. Pel.
