The tennis selection trials including Atjeh were held from 10 to 13 September 1951 to select the best Indonesian tennis players from the East Coast of Sumatra, Atjeh, and Tapanuli for the national championships at Djakarta. The selection was conducted by the Persatuan Lawn Tennis Indonesia (the Indonesian Lawn Tennis Association).
Outcome
The selection for the women’s events fell on Mrs. P. St. Namora of Siantar. The trials were part of the broader post-independence development of organised sport in North Sumatra, integrating the Atjeh region into the provincial and national sporting framework.
