Model overeenkomst (6-article souvereiniteitsverklaring) (1874 (appended to Van Swieten’s proclamation)) is a document described in Jongejan’s Land en Volk van Atjeh Vroeger en Nu in connection with Aceh. Six articles: (1) recognition of Dutch supreme authority and the Dutch flag; (2) just rule of the land; (3) prevention of slave trade and piracy; (4) assistance to shipwrecked sailors and salvage of stranded goods; (5) no shelter to criminals; (6) no political relations with foreign powers.
