Adat Peutoeha was the customary management commission paid to a pepper garden supervisor (peutoeha djaga or peutoeha seuneubo) for managing a plantation complex (seunebok lada).
Structure
The peutoeha received no fixed salary, depending instead on Adat Peutoeha levied as a fixed sum per pikul of harvested pepper (averaging 0.40–0.50 guilders per pikul).
