9 denotes the ninth year of the Hijri calendar (approximately 630 CE), the year in which the poet Ka’b ibn Zuhair is traditionally said to have composed his celebrated qasīda “Bānat Sūcād”. This early composition later entered the Acehnese poetic repertoire and is sometimes performed during the Mawlid (dikië jadjandji) in Aceh.
