Upper basin = Gajo Loeös and considered the ‘bakermat’ (cradle) of Gayo people. A possible road to Westkust through Tripa-vallei was studied by Topografische Dienst and V&enW, found ‘not unsuitable’.
Significance
Tripa (river) is recorded by Jongejan as part of the geography and historical landscape of Aceh.
