In the Hikayat Chintabuhan (Achehnese rendering of the Malay Ken Tambuhan): ‘In the Achehnese hikayat the princess’s country is called Tanjong Puri.’ In the Malay original she is borne away to the forest by supernatural force; in the Achehnese version she is carried off by Raden Meuntroe’s own father who makes war on her sire.
