Singa‑Radja was a Balinese settlement captured without resistance by General‑Major A. A. V. Michiels on 29 March 1849 after the landing at Boeleleng (page 107). It served as a temporary base for Dutch negotiations with the princes of Boeleleng and Karang‑Assana (page 107).
Military Use
Following its capture, Dutch forces used Singa‑Radja as a staging point before advancing toward the fortified position of Djagaraga (page 107).
