In the Hikayat Seuma’un (LXVI): ‘Mariah, daughter of king Kobeuti (= Qibti = Coptic) who was established in the land of Sa’ri, dreamed a dream in which she saw herself the destined bride of the Prophet.’ A war follows between Seuma’un and Sa’ri.
