Poeloe Wei (modern Pulau We, also Pulo Wai/Way; also associated with Sabang) is an island off the northern tip of Aceh. During the Aceh War its chief, Toekoe Nja Daoed, was recognised by the Dutch as the local head; in 1886 he was attacked by a raiding band from the XXVI Moekims.
