Loëng Lemo

Loëng Lemo was a river in Acheh that the Dutch right‑hand column had to cross on 30 January 1876. A bridge was constructed for the artillery to cross, while the enemy continued to fire on the advancing troops.

Engineering Effort

The bridge was built under fire, demonstrating the logistical capabilities of the expeditionary force.
