Lhoksukon was/is a inland administrative town located in northern Aceh (modern North Aceh Regency).
Historical Context and Role
In 1910, Lhoksukon became the headquarters station for the 5th Division of the Korps Maréchaussée, overseeing anti-guerrilla operations across the eastern coastal plain.

Gloomy town between Lho’Seumawé and Sigli; site of fierce struggle bloodily suppressed by Christoffel in 1910. Characteristic Aceh aanslagen occurred here; kapitein C. Schmid murdered 10 July 1933. Has rijstpellerij of Brinkman, Pira Estate (rubber) and Lho’Soekon Estate (vezel) nearby. Approached via paja (swamp) dike with crab-infested road.
