Location of the tomb of Teungku Lam Peuneueen (‘the pepper saint’), who is the special patron of pepper cultivators. Annual kanduris are given in his honour in the pepper season. ‘Vows are also made to him in connection with recovery from sickness, or for the completion of the recitation of the Quran (peutamat) at his tomb by a school-boy.‘
