Lam Baró — modern Lam Baro — is a halt on the Atjeh-tram line near Kota Radja. Cattle from Groot-Atjeh, the centre of which is Seulimeum, goes by tram to Sabang and to Medan. For Medan the cattle are usually loaded at Lam Baró, and the tram then brings them to Besitang. From there the cattle are led by road to Medan, because a longer train-journey would be harmful to the animals.
