In the Hikayat Banta Beuransah: ‘Jamishah… dreams of a beautiful princess Ruhon Apenlah who possesses a miraculous bird called Mala’on Dirin and dwells in the land of Gulita Ebeuram, of which her father Male’ Sarah is ruler.’ Three brothers are sent to seek this princess; only Banta Beuransah eventually succeeds. The other two brothers degenerate and grow hairy like beasts.
