Gedeh (also read Gedah) was a place inside the Dutch concentrated position at Atjeh in 1885, with a winkelstraat (shop-street) frequented by patrols from the main guard of Kota Radja. On 14 August 1885 a reconnaissance patrol of the main guard was fired upon in the shop-street of Gedeh, two men were killed, and the enemy took two rifles with him (see Guerilla raids inside the concentration line (1885)).
