The Acehnese version of Joseph (Yusuf), sold into slavery and bought by Adid (Potiphar), king of Egypt. Imprisoned not as a suspect but because he “turns the heads of all women,” he eventually weds princess Dalikha after Adid’s death and becomes king himself, with a son named Ahmat.
