Sloof, G. was a Dutch marine sergeant who received the fourth class of the Militaire Willemsorde for his actions during the Atjeh expeditions of 1873 and 1874. His citation appeared in the royal decree of 6 October 1874.
Recognition
Sergeant Sloof’s award reflects the high level of valor displayed by marine troops in the difficult terrain of Aceh.
