Maajoor Pusch served as a major in the Dutch colonial forces stationed in the Wikkie‑kreek region. He died before the 1760s campaign and was succeeded by Captain Hamell, Major De, and Lieutenant‑Colonel Douglas.

Pusch’s death prompted a re‑organisation of command, influencing the subsequent Dutch strategy against the rebels.
