Kapitein Perrin de Salleneuve was a Dutch captain who confronted the rebel leader Atta in the Wikkie‑kreek area. After the engagement, Atta retreated, allowing Dutch forces to regain control of the Quacco and Baubé outposts. Perrin’s actions are recorded in the Dutch colonial reports of the 1760s.
Role in the Campaign
Perrin’s encounter with Atta marked a turning point, after which the Dutch perceived the rebellion as weakened, leading to a temporary cessation of hostilities.
