Fuselier Wolf was a Dutch fusilier who was severely wounded while attempting to breach the rattan barrier at the main entrance of Retch during the 1858 assault. He fell heavily after being struck.
Combat Actions
Wolf’s effort to open the barrier was part of the coordinated attack that eventually allowed L. F. Tuckerman and other marines to enter the fort.
