Pacification of the Province of Celebes (1906–1908) was the pacification of the province of Celebes carried out by H. N. A. Swart as Civil and Military Governor between 3 September 1906 and 1908.

Educated in van Heutsz’s school, Swart could “pacify Celebes in a few years.” Operations in Celebes are recorded in his stamboek for 1906, 1907 and 1908. Those who knew only Atjeh considered the work there and in Borneo easier and not comparable — “Atjeh was Atjeh! What proved right elsewhere did not on that account have to be right for Atjeh.” Swart denied it: “it was all the application of the same insights — though under different circumstances. And those circumstances he did not consider insuperable.”
