Rawshaniyya was a Sufi sect founded by Bayazid in the 16th century. The sect’s literature and its scholars, such as Akhond Derwizeh, produced commentaries on the creed poem Bad’ al-Amali.

Connection to Aceh

The widespread scholarly attention to the creed poem, including Rawshaniyya commentaries, reflects the broader Islamic intellectual currents that reached Aceh via Malay translations.
