Nias-slavinnen (English: “Nias slave women”) is a term or concept described in Jongejan’s Land en Volk van Atjeh Vroeger en Nu in relation to Aceh. Slave women from Nias, considered more attractive than Acehnese women; as concubines of their Acehnese masters they contributed to the development of the Acehnese ‘race’.
