Galar was a title or adult name in Acehnese usage as explained in a note by Jan van Swieten.
Use in the source
The source stated that a galar could be hereditary with a dignity or replace a childhood name in adulthood. It gave the example of Nja Abas, called Galar Sia Oelama, and explained the layered names of the panglima of the XXII Mukim.
