bergspoorweg (English: “Mountain railway”) is a term or concept described in Jongejan’s Land en Volk van Atjeh Vroeger en Nu in relation to Aceh. Heavy mountain railway required between Seulimeum and Padang-Tidji to cross the watershed; the missing Seulimeum–Gedeh-Breuëh section was started in 1903 and delivered early 1908.
